AiLeader iCheck is a powerful engine used to automate the reading process of bank checks by means of image processing and artificial intelligence techniques. The system is able to recognize the value, codeline and date field. iCheck also detects the presence of the payee name and signature fields. Furthermore, the solution provides an intelligent mechanism for fraud detection by crossing information from different fields of the check.
The AiLeader system is able to process all fields on bank checks. Experiments with real databases show that iCheck reduces manual effort in bank check processing by up to 90%.
Intelligent Component
The robust iCheck component recognizes handwriting and printed bank checks, even if scanned in low-resolution binary mode. The component supports different handwriting styles providing more flexible applications.
The scanning process of bank checks often generates poor quality images, which significantly hinders the recognition task. Such problems include noise images, images with low contrast or brightness, and declined or rotated images. The iCheck solution has special algorithms to cope with these drawbacks.
The presence of undesired symbols ($, #, *, (, ), %, |, ---) is common in the courtesy amount area of the check, confusing even the human eye in regards to the check value. The iCheck component provides a powerful method for avoiding this by crossing information from different sources, such as the legal amount area.
